This 5K is unique in its rural, community atmosphere - start the new year outside running or walking the rolling hills of Temple, New Hampshire. This race is sponsored by the Souhegan Lions, who use the proceeds to help people in the towns of Temple, New Ipswich, Greenville, and Mason with sight and hearing needs, as well as with emergencies such as fires. The Souhegan Lions also support special needs camps and programs in the state. The Chip Chase includes recognition for fastest runners, nine age/gender categories, a bib raffle, and delicious, homemade soups, bagels, and cookies after the event. This race is one of the most affordable in the area. Preregistration is recommended, as the race will cap at 300 entrants. Race starts at noon, race day registration ends at 11:30 AM.
