A few quick announcements…
SUMMER SIZZLER SERIES!
Thanks for the great (and fun!) turnout at the Summer Sizzler Series. Our last race is this Wednesday (8/5) with a 1 mile race at the ConVal track. Registration opens at 6:00 pm and the race starts at 6:30 pm. (Please note, this race replaces the typical summer track workout.)
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING/BBQ: Aug 22
We will hold our annual membership meeting on Saturday, August 22 from 3-6 pm at Oak Park in Greenfield. We will meet at the pavilion. The club will provide burgers, hot dogs (meat and vegetarian options for both) and non-alcoholic beverages to eat after the membership meeting. Please bring a side dish or desert to eat and share. Also, feel free to BYOB.

A note from a local runner…
Attention Milers! Help me, fellow runner Oliver Ellerkamp, as I attempt to complete a solo, DIY Ironman on Saturday, August 8th. I’ll start the run leg (marathon distance) from my home in Peterborough around 2:30-3:00 PM and would love to have people join me (for as little or as much as you’d like) as the miles and suffering add up. I’m planning to run out and back on the rail trail towards Hancock, as well as loops around the Pine Ridge neighborhood and downtown Peterborough until I reach 26.2 miles and likely fall to the ground. I expect to average about 8:30-9:00 minutes per mile pace. If you’re interested in joining me in this endeavor, please contact me at 603-732-7960 so I can coordinate where to meet up with you.
