The Monadnock Regional Milers running club is bringing back the Monadnock Area Grand Prix (MAGP)!
The MAGP series includes popular local races, a new point system, and great year-end prizes.
We are committed to local races and the causes they support.
A decade ago, the MRM club first introduced the MAGP with a handful of races. And now the MAGP is back! The main goal of the series is to promote local Monadnock area races that benefit local communities. The series aims to get more people participating in local community races by having prizes based on highest participation and attendance.
We have 13 races. Races span 10 different towns, take place from April through October and vary in length from 5k to 4 miles.
We hope to encourage people to simply get out and have fun running in these wonderful local races.
Rules and Prizes
The point system will be strictly based on participation. There will be a sign in sheet at each MAGP race
for those wanting to be counted in the series. There is no additional cost to runners participating in the MAGP challenge.
Award categories will be based on 3 participation levels:
Participation in half of the races
Participation in 3/4 of the races
Participation in all of the races
Prizes will include quality MAGP tech shirts, caps, and gift cards. At the end of the MAGP series we will have a cookout to award the prizes.
Remember - participation is what matters! BUT runners must sign in at each MAGP race.
